Either way ceramic or fiberglass, I'm liking it!Custom scales made from Ceraglas by Cuscadi.
I'm not really sure what this material is.
Luke from Cuscadi says it is a ceramic.
It seems to have fibres in it like fibreglass.
It has a weird feel, sort of like bone.
Forgot to say thanks for the lead. I just sent an e-mail request. Will see their response in the next couple of days, hopefully.Custom scales made from Ceraglas by Cuscadi.
It looks like the most awesome soap on a rope ever conceived.
Seems like the company that does this has to be contacted via e-mail or call direct if one wanted to have a knife already customized by them. They state on their website that that they have custom scales and custom scales on knives for some 400 different knife manufacturers. Looking forward to see if they'll respond to a request I sent. How much do scales like these cost? Love the Dragonfly salt, thinking of getting one in SE, but not a huge fan of the bright yellow. Big fan of what you did here. The red and white contrast is great.
Did you purchase this complete or just the scales?Loving the Salt so far.
Has a fair bit of vertical blade play though.
Side to side is good.
I be interested to find out if all Dragonflys have this play.
Cuscadi should reply pretty quickly.
They sell just scales or you can buy the knife as well complete with scales.
They aren't cheap, but I think the price is reasonable.
In the past I got a set of Carbon Fibre scales for a Doug Ritter Mini-Grip.
I don't have a photo, but they are really nice.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, I've got a Dragonfly 1, Dragonfly 2 and the VG10/G10 version and none have any blade play.
Damn, sounds like I might have a dud knife then.
