Pimped JYD?

Anybody out there pimped their JYD? I have the JYD 2 composite, and I'm thinking about changing out the scales. Anybody got examples for inspiration?

Where did you get that clip? I want to get rid of the Klingon bat wing too, but I'm having a hard time shelling out $35 for an STR clip.

Rival1314 makes scales for JYD. Contact him. I got some sick 0550 CF scales from him.

KAI's very own Jimmer_5 used to do some exceptional handrubbed satin finishes on blades before his gig with the company. My favorite being a JYD. Hopefully he doesnt mind me putting the pics in this thread. Exceptional work. Again Jimmer_5 did this not me.
Its hard to do a rubbed satin without distorting the crisp grind lines. I think he did very well.

acid etched and stone washed. I love it

Im thinking about trying an acid wash to get some more definition between the 2 steels on my JYD2. Anyone want to share some pictures of that ?

My Gen 1 with tip up ZT clip. The Gen 1 came etched darker from the factory.

I darkened my Tyrade with a vinegar soak.
