My favorite knife I currently own is the Dave Beck WSK. That said, I squirm at even the thought of using mine. I wanted to make my TBJ tracker "ressemble" the appearance of the Beck so I stripped the coat, tried to sand the steel to get that smokey grey finish Mr. Beck has mastered, darkened up the micarta handles, and made a sheath for scout carry. What do you guys think?

Beautiful sheath. I hope you get to go out an dirty it up some.

Thanks, I used Klean-Strip and a scraper (Thanks to the threads here that showed me how). After the coating came off their appeared to be some type of powder coat baked on the surface that didn't budge from the stripper so I sanded it down with 320/600/1500 wet/dry sandpaper.

It looks great. The sheath is very nice.

I think the process should be called subduing not pimping; I was expecting a bedazzler to be used!
