As I was reading through the Military 2 thread on the Spyderco forum the other day, I noticed some suggestions on potential mods to the original (bigger screws and/or lanyard hole, full sized liners, etc) so I thought I'll share with you all how the Millie would look like if totally rebuilt from scratch keeping but the original blade - and having:



Anso-style G10 handles



full sized liners & G10 backspacer (& slightly enlarged lanyard hole)




custom pivot & screws

Looks sweet :) Regarding the full spacer, other than a slight increase in rigidity it does do one other thing. I had a couple instances in the past where an open backspacer knife and some change were in my pocket at the same time, and a coin managed to find itself into that open backspacer area and wedge itself between the blade and liner. One time it got wedged in so bad I needed a pair of pliers to remove the coin before I could open the knife. With full backspacers this hasn't been a problem.
 
I'm sorry, but to me it's taboo for anything else to go in the knife pocket. I need an empty pocket because I often drop my knife into the pocket without clipping. Till my task is done. Then reclippit.

Are the liners steel or titanium?
Do you know what the knife weighs now?
