Who here has pimped their Ums? If so, what exactly did you do? And of course, please post pics if you have them.

The reason I ask is because I have only seen one here, which leads me to believe that nobody's really doing it. Who will prove me wrong???:D

I've seen a few that ranged from mild pimping like satin or heat coloured Ti handles up
to a bit more hard core pimping with smoothed off texturing on the handle and the like.

I have been tempted to do a bit of work on mine but I quite like the Umnumzaan
as standard, I will probably do a CF scale and spacer for it at some point though.

Sticf has a nice one:

it's harder to pimp as the scale has the milled grooves already.

I do love that CF scale. I also like the idea of being able reset the knife to factory original. That is one of the reason I have not had any radical modifications done to any of my knives. Clip here, Scale there, but always with the option of "backing out" of the mod. To that end, I recently put the Ti scale back on the Umnumzaan, I will likely swap back out for the CF in a few weeks.

I don't think I had seen either of those before, although the one I did see that I mentioned in my first post was one that had the scotch-brite treatment done to it.

I'd love to see one that was colorized by heat too. I can imagine what it would look like, but of course, actual pics are better.

Thanks for the cool pics so far. Keep them coming!!!

It's no secret that I modify Sebenza and Umnums (at least, I HOPE it's not a secret:D).

A carbon fiber or G-10 scale adds a certain feel that titanium cant give.

If you're a workin' man like myself, a textured carbon or G-10 handle will give you much more control of a Sebenza or Umnum in wet/cold weather.

That's been my experience, anyway.
