Hi all,
Just got my B11 about a month ago, from a good guy here (Grunt Soldier).
It came to me in a well stripped condition. I want to use it as daily tool here.
It's been quite long for me waiting to have a B11, as it blade shape reminds me about our Golok, Indonesian most used knife, and well, it is well known as a very tough blade out there..
After some chopping with this beast, I just didn't feel it right!!! sorry guys, but I couldn't say this Res-C handle is comfortable (I like the other Res-C better - B10, DF, 711, 911).. I felt that the Res-C on the B11 just too hard and skinny in my hand..
SO... I decided to transform it into a Golok!!!... my concept is: an Indonesianized B11, or simply: an INFI Golok...
Then here we go.. I contacted a knifemaker here, who's been well known for his artistic finishing on knives..
OK.. let's the photos talk:
- my B11, stripped
- here is some inspirations, I decided to use the middle Golok Style
- B11 - Unhandled + a sketch form my friend about the handle..
actually I thought it was better, but then I asked him to make a little mod, by pushing the bolster a bit forward.. why? I just don't feel it is OK to handle the knife too far from the edge.. It has already had large choil + that large hollow guard..
so here is the new proposal:
to be continued..
