I have just got into the BALISONGS and man have I been missing out!!!!! heres the thing
I've got about 10 now ,so JAGS and ROSTFREI,I want to polish so of the black bladed ROST because the black doesn't stay on
but how do you get the pins out without screwing up the finish on the handles? and here is one more question why does some of the ROST have male/female pins and some have
solid pins , the solid is what I'm trying to remove!!

He who dies with the most BALIs wins!

To remove a pin without damage to the handles use a wood chisel or a dremel cutoff wheel. Be careful with the Dremel though, the sucker cuts fast! You can also do a search under my name, I previously posted a essay on how to remove pins, polish, etc.

I did the same to a black china, check it under my photopoint link under mods.

On my free time I like to do knife mods. I am currently polishing a 710 and working on a Jag. I already made a clip from scratch and plan to tap some holes to a jag to make it pocketable.

Oh yeah, watch out with the handles, without the blade coat, the handles tend to darken and look dull after a few hours because it is cheap pot metal. You might need to coat it before you store it.

Really, those things will take a chunk of skin off of your hand very quickly.

You can usually use a good pair of american made vice grips to remove the pins in a butterfly knife. The China made tools are not worth it, because they will not clamp down on something that small. Thanks, JohnR7 www.BalisongKnife.com
