Pat Ankrom of ankromexotics makes some really unusual handle slabs, on top of having burls. The problem is buying a set since they seem to sell as fast as he can make them. This knife uses his pine cone scales, which involves a Norwegian Spruce cone being cast into Armilite; a casting resin. The effect is lovely. The rest of the knife is my usual 3/32 inch CPM154CM ground into a five inch blade. The trim is obviously copper. Still needs a sheath/sharpened.

That stabilized pine cone is some VERY cool material. The copper and mosaic pins look good too.

That is very cool handle material! Alex Daniels submitted a stabilized corn cob handled knife in his JS set that was pretty unique. Anyone tried stabilizing dandelion puffs yet? Peacock feathers? This could be endless!
