I got both of these from Jerry (Ringold, Oklahoma) at Spirit of Steel. Damascus blades/SanBar stag handles. Jerry was set up next to John Ownby (Knife141)-I was sitting with John- and it was too much for me to look at these knives for 3 days so they stayed in Texas.

Jim, they are a nice looking pair of knives. Jerry is a good man to know also. Always willing to share his knowldge when asked. I just visited with him at the Hammer In at Washington this past week-end. We had a great time. Thanks for sharing.

Nice choices all around. As I have a fondness for the big blades, the top one really stands out. Funny thing with the stag shortage being what it is, you are still seeing a surprisingly large number of stag handled knives being turned out. Glad to see you got a couple of beauties before it dries up completely.

After looking at those two knives you just might have to find someone else to take pity on you for being tapped out after the Show
