It's time for me to get everyone pumped up for the next Piney Woods Hammer-in. Come and join us, and have a great time!
Here's a quick rundown on the schedule for the Fall Hammer-in, which be held November 1st and 2nd, 2003.

The classes are held at The Bill Moran School of Bladesmithing in Old Washington, Arkansas. The school is co-sponsored by The American Bladesmith Society and Texarkana College.

There will be a "Getting to Know the Instructors Banquet" on Friday night, October 31, 2003 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. This will give you the opportunity to get to know the instructors on a personal basis. The focus will be on the the weekends demonstrations. The banquet will be held at the Western Sizzler in Hope, Arkansas. The cost is $15. Money will be taken at the door.
There will be a fish fry on Saturday November 1, 2003 at 5:15 pm, served by Ms. Kay and the Tavern Cookers at the picnic area of the Williams Tavern across the road from the School.
Uncle Al, the Knifemaker's Pal will be located the registration tent at the school both days.
The Cutting Competition will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday November 2, 2003. Remember to sign up for the competition when checking in on Saturday morning. The criteria is as follows:
Blade length: Maximum of 10" tip to guard. Maximum of 15" overall knife length.
Blade width: Maximum of 2"
The knife must have at least one pin securing the handle, and must have a thong (lanyard) hole and tether for safety.
Participants must have a sheath or case for the knife.
