Pink for the wife?

I have decided to buy the wife a knife and I believe she will like a pink handle. The two I have in mind are the Benchmade mini-grip and the Spyderco Delica 4.

I like the pink of the Delica better than that on the Mini-Grip.

And I like the Axis lock better on the Mini-Grip.

Questions though.

For those of you with both of these knives which do you like to carry more, Is the Delica as smooth to open as the Mini-Grip? Does the lock on the Delica feel as solid as the axis?

Lastly, only because I haven't checked, can someone comment on the steel differences between the two.

Any useful input is appreciated.

The Mini-Grip Axis opens smoother than the Delica.
Lock strength? They both feel rock solid.
My girlfriend likes using the Axis lock knives more than my lockbacks.

Delica all the way, have never taken a liking to the axis lock myself. the delica is a simple no nonsense blade. my girl uses a crkt pharoh the push button mechanism is pretty fool proof ad the auto lawks keeps here fingers attatchd :D its a matter of preference.

My G/f actually likes linerlocks. I just gave her a bucklite hoping she gets comfortable with lockbacks. She likes my griptilian but is really wanting the pink minigrip. Go with the grippy!

I may have to let my daughter lend her yellow grip to her mother for a few days for her to feel it out.

You have two choices when it comes to pink Benchmades. You can get a regular pink mini-grip or get the Ritter pink mini-grip from Aeromedix.com. Either way, I think the Axis lock is smoother than the Delica. Both are top-notch blade choices, but the mini-grip has the edge in ease of use. Most newbie knife users tend to like my Axis lock knives than my lockbacks:D Worst case scenario, get both and keep one yourself:thumbup:

I like the get both keep one for myself scenario. I just may do that and from the sounds of it I could still come out fine regardless of which she chooses.
