I wanted to make a knife for my wife and I was thinking of having it in pink handles. Is there a pink handle material that I could use  And were can I get some

Pink ivory is a wood in the ebony family. It is a lovely pink color, and very popular with women. Most all suppliers have it. I have some if you know the size you will need.Send me an email.Other choices are micarta, and acrylic handle material.Check out the suppliers like Texas KS ,Jantz, K&G,etc. The coral scales you get are generally reconstituted material (Powdered and mixed with a resin),and not very good in my opinion. If it is a small and delicate knife, pink MOP is available, but it dies not come very large,or thick.

Never seen hot pink handles before.....I have used thin cut sheep horn that is translucent with red spacer material...this gave me a pink colored handle....my niece loved it.

Giraffe bone when died red usually comes out some sort of pink. I got some really good pink for a knife I am thinking about for the wife from

at Blade West. Might give them a call and ask, they should be able to help you.

You could get some material in the color you want ad some epoxy and make some "Mycarta" like Ariel and Butch do. That way you can be sure to get "hot pink" :)

Try Corian, Look for a counter top contractor and ask if he has any pink Corrian scraps. corrian makes a nice handle, a little heavy but easy to work with. Phil

This guy says in the website he can pretty much make anything. So, not only can you get hot pink, but you can get the ladder style micarta like this:

It is all about how much money you want to spend.

You could make your own, to your EXACT specifications. Look up Aeriel Salviera's (butchered the spelling probably... sorry about that) tutorial on homemade cloth micarta.

I have seen solid pink commercial made Micarta that is hot pink and looks cool as hell. I know Mike Snody has used it to great effect. If I find some, I'm gonna snatch up a bit to keep on hand and make my wife a knife. I recently bought her a beautiful knife by Stan Fujisaka that has awesome pink dyed camel bone handles.

Case makes a several different knives in pink that are very nice. They have the bubba gum line, which is a bubblegum pink, and the cotton candy (lady Case series) which is hot pink and very nice. The material is dyed jigged bone.

Don't mean to be a smart-a**, but I'd probably try contacting Adam Michael for starters.
