Okay I just received Triangle ruby stones for my sharpmaker from congress, do I need to use oil or water with them or can I use dry?

The guy at Bronx Knife Works told me to use it with water. I just got on for my edge pro.
Maybe we can compare results , but I've had mine for 1 week and haven't had a chance to give it a try.

armilite,

Tried them dry on a junk Maxam knife, they didn't seem to load up at all. The 120 grit moves metal pretty quick

Whatwhatwhat are these pink stones you speak of?
Do you have a site to purchase? (What is Congress?)
I have the standard med, fine & the ultra fines.

Thanks

congresstools.com, look at the polishing stones. pink=ruby

Thanks for the assist. Do the triangle stones fit the sharpmaker well?
The 1/4, 3/8, which one fits best?
These might be just what I have been looking for.
