My favorite SAK is the Soldier, because it has (almost) all the tools I need, plus I love the alox and the absence of the keyring. I really would like a woodsaw, however, so I'm looking at the Pioneer Harvester or the Electrician Plus, which have everything the Soldier has (inc. alox and no keyring) but also a saw. Both also have an additional blade - a "pruning" blade in the case of the Harvester and an "electrician's" blade in the case of the Electrician. I don't really have much need or use for either, but does anyone have any thoughts on which of the two blades might be more generally useful? Any other differences I don't know about between these two knives?

If you want a 'Soldier' with a saw why not get a 'Farmer' ?

All you would need to do is file off the keyring stub which would be easy enough to do even with basic tools...bit of a polish.....done!

All the funtions you're used to with the Soldier + the saw = Farmer

You can't go wrong with a Vic Farmer

If I had to choose between a pruning blade and the electricians blade I'd go for the pruner. Just think it would be of more use for general purpose tasks.
