Pioneer I and II Differences?

With "Search" being down, I need to ask for help. I just saw a very nice Pioneer, and I believe I need to own it. Trouble is, I haven't visited here much lately and don't know the difference between P I's and II's.

I'd appreciate someone pointing me to a thread that discusses this. Thanks.
 
The diffrance is the lock release. The Pioneer Series had the front release the Pioneerll has the Slide Bar release. The Pioneer also used a ball detent The Pioneerll uses the lock. There are a few Pioneerll which have the slide bar and a ball detent ( made durring the transion period)

Almost. The one I saw had a toggle release next to the blade coming out of the pivot area. I guess that was a "Pioneer," rather than a "Pioneer II." I assume they both use the same kind of lock, blade steel, etc.
