I really like the Timberline Lightfoot-designed pistol grip and the Cold Steel Desperado.

Are there any pistol-gripped (or angled something near to a pistol grip) fixed blades out there? I place a premium on thrusting....

Let me know folks, and I thank you in advance. Thus far, this board's been hard to beat for accurate information and informed opinion!

Ka Bar makes a line of pistol grip FB's for law enforcement. The only ones I know of (but there's a lot I don't know).

Howdy! The TDI knives are a great, and quite cheap, way to get the pistol-gripped fixed blade. If you want a custom, I would tell you to get into contact with Mike Drost of Drost knives (http://www.drostknives.com/) and check out his model 9 fixed blade. He puts together a VERY comfortable, tough fixed blade at a good price. The sheaths were also amazing the last time I saw one. Another option, though not canted forward, would be the Frigault Spear-Tac. You can find that knife by doing a search here, or by looking him up through the Canadian Knifemaker's Guild website. Mr. Frigault is also a member here, so do a search focusing on the For Sale: Maker's forum. Good luck, and please let us know what you end up with!

Please note that some of the Filipino blades are more pistol gripped, but that a lot of concerns exist about the usefulness of the pistol grip: it's a weaker grip compared to other types of knife grips, and the knife could be dislodged. Come join us in the Practical Tactical discussion group.

Some of the szabonic stuff is just plain wild! Some of it is kind of what I'm looking for , though (an Uuk, for example...also that "dueling knife").

Pricey, too. But if you want the best........

Thanks for the tip, bigbore.
