Well it did, at least temporarily.:D

This is a lot of knife in a 4oz package. I'm impressed. It must have something to do with the Inset Liner Lock which doesn't require full liners.

It's a big knife at 8.5" overall and a 3.5" blade.

The Blur style thumbstuds are a nice touch as well. The blade deploys fast using either the studs or the flipper.

The Skyline is shelved for now. :o

Next to a 0561, the Piston is smaller, but has presence.

How's the handle? Is it comfy? Looks a little blocky. Is the knife US made?

Great thread btw.

Wow - it has to be good to knock your beloved Skyline to the curb (even if temporarily).

It is a little larger than I had imagined - thanks for the pics and your opinions of the knife.

best

Knife is extremely comfortable when in use. For me anyway. And by the way. The pocket clip can be changed out for the Zero Tolerance Clip.

Yeah, I probably paid $10 more at the "C" place, than you will.
But hey, I'm enjoying mine right now.

:D:thumbup:

I did the same (bought at the C site), and I know that I paid too much, but I am certainly enjoying mine as well. I guess I will have to buy another one when they become available at the lower price. That makes sense, doesn't it? ;) I think I will be doing the same thing when the orange Skyline is no longer a dealer exclusive; my collection is begging for an orange Frankensk'line with a black blade...

It looks like it might ride a little lower in the pocket than the skyline. Is that true or am I imagining things?
