I sent this one on it's merry way and thought you folks would like to see it.

Hope you like it.

That's a fantastically smooth, solid, comfortable looking knife. The blade shape appealed to me right away. Is that old giraffe bone or is it dyed?

I wouldn't mind you telling us more about this knife.

Yes it is ground on both sides, Nathan. I can see it in the picture, but I know it's there. :)

Keith, the knife is 5 1/2" closed, it is a "lift-bar/ coil mechanism", the thumb stud can be used on either side making it right or left handed, the bone was supplied by the customer, so I'm not sure but I think it is dyed. I make it in both auto and manual. This one is automatic. I also make it in a traditional version with liners, bolsters, caps, and full handle scales.

Thanks for your interest and thanks for looking. :)

Hi
Did you grind the clip point on a contact wheel or a platen?
not the main hollow put the top edge of the knife.
Thanks Nathan

Nathan, you have mail.

Tom, it needs to be sort-of big so you can lift the backspring to release the blade. It's actually not as large as it looks, it's only .300 diameter. I've tried smaller ones but it's murder on your thumb.

Thanks Peter!! I love that maple one you posted!!!!:p

Thanks everybody for looking.

Steve
