Finally got our computer back up and running so here are the pics from our trip:

There was some great scenery all the way up to our destination:

Maisy and Snicker decided that they liked it here as well !

This was my firekit that I'd taken and used to get the fire going on the first day:

Pit Jr tried his hand at fishing, this ugly thing was the one and only fish he caught:

Time to chill out with some beers around the fire !

Getting to the boat house was easy for Maisy and Snicker but not so easy for Crazy Stewie, my mates Frenchie !

These were the two knives I'd taken, my Dave Farmer Camp knife and my new little ML :

The following day I used the Farmer to get the fire going again:

I also used the Farmer for preparing meals etc, great knife for many uses !

This was a pic from one of the places we visited:

All in all a great trip !

Looks like a lot of fun.
Thanks for sharing.

Great pics, Pit. My nephew is using the Maisy pic as his desktop on 'his' computer now.

That's great to hear buddy, don't tell ya nephew that Crazy Stewie attacked Maisy while we were there and made her face bleed or he'll have a hit out on Stewie. I think it shook Maisy up a little, she didn't even try to retaliate and kept outta his way most of the time after that !:(

If he heard that he would get mad, too. Everytime there is new pics of Maisy I always send them to my brother to show him, or he is over my house and I show him. He is next to me on the other computer as I type this.

Love the pics Pit. Always do.

Although - you are still on my poo - poo list for being my pusher!

I have ANOTHER ML knife on the way - you started me on that addiction.

I gave my dad and brother my two Kepharts (they LOVED them) and I have another on the way.

He makes such bad assed stuff for such a great price. My new Straight Back Kephart is my GO TO blade now.

Thanks a LOT buddy! ;)

Fantastic pics. It does my heart good to see an "oldie" (the camp knife) still workin hard. That was 1/8 in 1095 and I think the handle is cocobolo. I don't make that particular style any more.

I like the little fire kit. Seems to do it's job well.

And what the he!! is that ugly fish?????:D

Shame we don't live closer cos Maisy just loves kids, we had some family visit yesterday with their two kids and Maisy wouldn't leave them alone, she turns back into a puppy when she's with them !:D

Thanks Dave.

I'm always amazed that we don't see more of your knives on this forum. To me they are real working knives, great shape, great heat treat and come sharp as hell !!!;)

Great pics (as always) but that canoe just gave me horrible flashbacks.

We borrowed one just like it (Coleman, if I recall) for a trip through the many lakes and ponds in New York's Adirondacks. My sister and brother-in-law were wiser and rented a beautiful kevlar Wenonah canoe that was nearly as light as a bag of potato chips. Our canoe was like a flexible plastic barge. Portaging it for three days was a nightmare. It's perfect for a large lake as long as you don't have to hoist it out of the water. Oof! Hernia time!

I'm glad you had a great time,:)

right on.. great pics as usual Pit... thanks for sharing man...:) i never get tired of seeing that area.. it is so gorgeous..
