So I recently got back from doing some archaeology on the arizona strip. We were digging pueblos and decided to build our own, or at least try to. 
Using a shovel, estwing hatchet, and my izula the "house" was built. We started with a rock lined hole
Put some posts up
The covered it with pine boughs
It needs a few more pine boughs and then we would have covered it with mud, but we had to go before it was entirely done. Still a good effort.
Couldnt have done it without this guy, he did all the notching to join the beams together.
