here is where we will post the designs+progress once we get to that point.

from what me and pit have talked about it will be a small FB for his wife.
4"handle and 3"blade not much more than that at this point, still waiting to hear back from pit.
 
Hey Drew what colours of Micarta do ya have ?

Gotta think about it clashing with her shoes eh !!!:D

Oh I can imagine her response with that one " And why should I have a Kitchen knife handle, is that because that's where women belong,in the kitchen ?!!!":D
 
Pit I have black, green, brown and orange all canvas.
I also have ghost green g10 that I could layer over fake ivory with black livers.
I have tons of mystery wood, no clue what it is but it looks awesome!
other than that I have oak and black walnut and also kwila

In that case make the handle look like jewelry then.;) .Nah,I was thinking that particular handle type was comfortable to use.
 
I missed the other thread. Is this going to be Mrs. Pits first custom woods knife? You should be sure to explain to her how badass she is to have a custom. Definite minority among outdoors people.
 
I missed the original thread too, but I have to ask what exactly she is going to be doing with it, primarily?
 
Yup this is Mrs Pits first custom, in fact it's her first fixed blade period !:thumbup:

I saw in Drew's other contest thread that he had to make a melon carver so I'm sure he was thinking what the hell crazy kinda design is Pit gonna throw at me !:rolleyes:

Anyway I tried to keep it fairly normal !!!!!:o

Edited to add: I don't mean anything negative about the melon carver just that it is a little out of the ordinary and was probably not expected !

HT done and sharpened, just need to put the handle one now!
oh and pit I dont have enough green micarta, the only color that I have enough of is black.
Or I can put some nice wood scales on it

Wow, looking good. Giving it to the wife…I don’t know about all that!
 
Now,if you cover that handle with diamonds and rubies she'll be sure to use it as a neck knife.;)
