LG&M, heck yea if you can come on down. We will make you one. My treat. It takes about 30 minutes to make one up untill you have to temper it. that takes about 3 hours. After that if takes about minute to sharpen it.

your knives look awesome Bryan, Ive added a few I seen to my grail list, awesome work on that necker, it looks super useful

That was cool. As much as I like the Bugaboos I love the little 5160 "necker".

You definitely know how to apply an edge! From what I've seen of your shop setup it looks pretty ideal. Ample working room and very clean. I think every guy drools over a shop like that.

Hi all,
payett, thanks. I try to send out the sharpest knives I can. Yea my shop set up works. LOL as to it being clean,
it really needs help I sweep and do some minor dusting and stuff like that. It is starting to get a little clutered, My heatreat oven should be here on tuesday, I can hardly wait. Stainless steel time is comming.
next after that is getting my own rockwell hardnest tester, it will be neat to test my own blades and not send them out.

Grunt and thanks, glad you like the sharpness and sexy look of the knives lol and making up the videos seems to really help and show the knives better too.

jds1, thanks, I am glad you like the design.

Not a doubt in my mind that your blades are Scary sharp ! Nice video 'Ol Bud ! I might be contacting you in the very near future on a knife ;)

coaldigger, thanks. I am glad you like the knife and the video and the sharpness of the knives I make.
When you are ready just let me know I should be here.
I was just looking at a knife making catolog that sells supplies to make knives.
For a 1" wide by 3/16" thick and 18" long piece of 0-1 steel is $13.95 add in the shipping $5 or $6. I can make 3 knives from one piece of steel in that 5.5" long range or so. that makes the steel about $6.67 roughly.
then using a couple of grinding belts $6
Use of a couple more grinding belts to do some smoothing up of the grinds. I will say $4. I say USE of because there are belts like the Trizac and the scotchbrite ones that you use over and over they are not one time use like some belts are.
Use of some Propane and Electric $3 maybe.
Kydex sheath about $5
That kind of gives you/me what it cost to make one up roughly.

Kind of cool.
