Pitting, but not orange?

Hey guys, I've been carrying my Super Blue Dragonfly 2 for a couple months now. I never really had an issue with rust until recently. I noticed some raised spots of what looked like to be dark orange on top of the blade. I sanded that down and used some metal polish but I still see some dark pitting. Is this bad? As long as it's not orange, it is perfectly normal for a carbon blade right?

Also found some orange spots on the tang, jimping and spydiehole. Sanded them down to get the surface rust off. Kind of took a bit. Is there anything out there that will take it off easier? I am thinking about using Nevr-Dull.

Thanks guys.

It's not uncommon to see pitting in the form of dark oxide without the red stuff, keep an eye on that kind of pitting as it will get worse if it's not cleaned as the pit will gather moisture and crud and the oxidation will go further.
The red surface rust is easy to take care of as long you notice and buff it off early using polishing compound or steel wool.
You can put a forced patina on your blade as it will somehow slow the red rust process but it wont turn your blade into stainless steel.
If you dont like patina, you can go for a mirror polish as it will boost the corrosion resistance but it is obviously more involved than putting a patina.
