I guess it is the pivot-the allen/torx screw that seems to go through the blade-are these adjustable to allow the blade to open easier? The reason I ask is that I have a second hand (not abused, really in new shape)starmate that is slick to open-very little resistance-the guy said he turned the screw a little to help. I just got a new military (very cool) that is smooth to open but has more resistance, no matter how much it is opened and closed and lubed. The reason I am concerned is that I have read about the "eccentric pivot" that can effect the liner lock-I want to make sure the starmate is safe (it looks/feels safe, but...) and
what and what size tool do I need to adjust the opening to my liking/or is this a bad idea-I like it with light resistance, but some resistance-somewhere between my starmate and military. However, I do not want to compromise the security of the lock!
thanks for bearing with me and my long post.
any suggestions are welcome.
