Pivot Collars?

STR, do you happen to do, or can do, or know someone who can do, Ti pivot collars? I would think you'd also need to replace the pivot hardware itself since with the collar the length would need to be longer.

I've looked as best I can and have had no luck.

By 'collar' I assume you mean bushing? A sleeve so to speak that fits around the outside of the barrel? I'm not sure I follow the terminology but if that is what you are asking me no I wouldn't make it. A machine shop would probably be your best bet. If you just want or need one or a couple you might try getting in touch with Reese Weiland and ask him.

I'm referring to the outer decorative surrounds or perhaps "washer"? that sits between the pivot head and the handle scale on the outside of the scale. Bushing I thought was an additional "collar" around the internal shaft of the pivot bolt inside the two handle scales and intersecting the blade.

I have no idea on the terminology. I picked up "pivot collar" from Wilkins' description of the piece that comes with his scale replacements for the Spyderco production version of his Leafstorm design.

Okay now I follow you. I realize you are speaking of these color anodized pieces for the pivot screw to seat into. Again though, no I don't have the machinery to make those. I'm not sure a Waterjet service could do that either. You'd need a machine shop I think although a waterjet service may be able to cut the shapes out for you to have machined. I'm just not sure. Seems the easiest way to do that would be to recess all the holes and then cut out the shapes around those recessed 82 degree countersinks but again, never having done it I'm not sure what would be the best way to steer you here.

You might write Kevin Wilkins and just ask him. However, if you do that do let us know what you find out.

Thanks for asking
