Pivot loosening?

Has anyone encountered an issue with the pivot screw gradually loosening on a folder after repeated deployment? In this case I believe the knife uses an IKBS system. The pivot can be tightened on both sides and gradually comes loose to the point that it turns when opening the blade. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Thanks

Yes. As uxo2 said, blue Loctite will fix this. Very simple. Just apply some blue Loctite in the pivot, find the sweet spot, then wait for it to cure. It wont come loose until you want it to.

My Benchmade 710 would become too loose and blade play would ensue after about 5 or so openings. Threw some blue Loctite in it and it didn't move a fraction until I took it apart.

My Emersons can loosen up as well but they will take much longer. I don't bother putting any in though because all it takes is just a slight turn of the pivot with my thumbnail and its perfect again.

I did until I got a strider. Hasn't happened in hundreds of openings, no loctite required. Can't say the same for my Emerson's, they would loosen significantly after about 15 openings

Blue Loctite won't hurt resale value. Just don't over do it. It's even recommended by some Mfgr's

Chris reeve knives includes locktight with their new knives, so I wouldn't worry about resale value! Just make sure you adjusted it the way you want it and then let it sit overnight to set.

Edit to add^^^ you beat me to it!
