I've just started to make folders and I'm using screw type pivot pins. How do I keep the screw from loosening up ? I don't want to use lock tite if I can help it. I want to be able to easily adjust the pressure on the blade.

I would use locktite on one side and maybe some teflon tape on the other.....or use some lock washers....or tweek the screws with parallel jaw pliers....be inventive.

Stickypoint,
Several ways of doing it. You can use a small rubber O ring under the screw, or a Belleville, wavy, or any locking type washer.
You can also lightly tap the threads of the screw to distort the threads. If you don't lock the screw and the pivot, there is a chance the blade will grab the pivot and loosen the screw, especially if the screw is tight in the counterbore.
I've tried them all and keep coming back to Blue Locktite.
