Pivot screw fell out of my 530

I really only wear this knife in my shorts when I go running-light, thin, and quick to open. Of course, it got quicker after the pivot came apart without my noticing. Dug the screw out of the pocket of the shorts (sometimes being a slob and waiting to do laundry has it's benefits) and put it back with a little Tite'N to hold.

Anyone else have pivot issues, and how do you address them?

And do try to resist the urge to make an 'I like my knives like I like my women' joke from my description of the 530. :D

I was just having problems like that with both of my edc. The screw never fell all the way out though. Is the tite'N hold a threadlocker? I just tried the loctite 242 on one, kershaw storm, about a week ago and is holding fine.

yeah, it's made by Loctite. I believe it's just a low strength version, which I like for something I might need to adjust/remove.

Had an old Pontiac with rims that I picked up from a seized vehicle auction. Someone wanted to buy the rims, we spent a couple hours getting them off because they and the adapter plates were held on with gallons of red loctite. 40 lug nuts practically welded on. Sane people just get locking lugs :jerkit:

The 242 is made for adjusting/removing but its a medium hold, I've been tweeking the tension and it still grips.

Red loctite on lug nuts? I've got to use anti-seize on mine or risk replacing all the studs.
