It varies. I wouldn't say that any one size is the one common size.

Some of my Benchmades are T10, some are T15.

All of my Cold Steel folders are T10.

My one Spyderco folder is T15.

T6, T8, T10, T15 are the most common. Buy a Wiha Torx Bit Selector and you'll have everything you need.

t6 and t8

A lot of bit kits with torx bits don't have anything lower than t10, so it is a good idea to stock up on some t6 and t8 bits. If you get the cheap 4mm ones, the tips tend to deform really easily. Especially with the t6's. So either get a lot of them or get some good quality bits from wiha.
