Do both of these knives share the exact same pivot? For those of you lucky to own both of these knives, which one is smoothest or which one do you prefer? I managed to get an order in for the Tilt today and was wondering if the Tilt will live up to the hype, or if the 0560 is actually a better knife. Oh and pictures of them both together never hurts ;)

I don't own both, but I've had the opportunity to sit with each for a little while on multiple occasions (and yes, they do grow on you very well. I didn't care for them too much at first, and now I'm looking where I can save money to buy one). I've found that the detent on the 0560 is harder than the Tilt, but it seems to pop open faster. Though I'm not sure if that is because it is better, or because more force was needed to get it started.

...both are excellent tools..the tilt would fit right at home in the museum of modern art and the 560...let's just say it fits right at home in your hand when you're knee deep in mud and just have to sharpen your spear...

Tilt's blade deployment feels like it's on rails.

I had an 0560 and I have a tilt right now in the pass around and the tilt feels smoother to me, it could be because it's more broken in than my 560 was. Both are extremely smooth though. I like all the smooth edges of the tilt as opposed to the sharp jimping on the 560.

I wouldn't say one is better than the other, they're too different to really compare. If I had to pick between them I'd take the tilt though. Limited, unique design, etc. That said I may be a tad biased since I only have tilt experience.

Hmm I'm wondering if I should hang on to the Tilt when I get it or if I should look at trading for a 0560 or 0561. I know the Tilt is going to be much harder to find in the future and the value will stay high, whereas the 0560 is a standard production knife, but I'm not sure I'll every carry the Tilt. I'll hopefully get it sometime next week.

Probably. I really doubt there's any difference in the bearings, and the pivot pin looks like it's the same size.

Exactly thoughts as well. Any difference in deployment is much more likely due to differences in blade weight/shape (the 0560's blade is heavier and has more weight toward the tip), associated differences in detent strength (all else being equal, a heavier blade will require a stronger detent to build enough force to really make the blade fly out), and minor knife-to-knife variations (e.g., you might have gotten a 0560 that's less smooth than average, a Tilt that's more smooth than average, and so forth).
