I know there is many different sizes, but are they just brass? What is the general size of these washers? I know every company is probably different. Where can I buy some?

Phosphor Bronze, where you buy them depends a little on the size you need. I've had to order a couple from a specialty washer manufacturer. You may want to start at McMaster http://www.mcmaster.com/#thrust-washers/=ojobzc

Knifekits.com has a fairly large selection of bronze pivot washers. If you're looking to replace the washers on an existing knife (or just have some spares around) you'll want to measure the ID, OD, and thickness of them. You can get a cheap digital caliper from the well-known auction site for about $10-15 shipped that works just fine for this. :thumbup:
