Pivots/knife, oil or no oil?

Im not to concerned about not oiling my knife, However I live in a dry climate. Maybe I'll see some wear on the tang in a hundred or so years.

I would still grease it up!

I use grease or oil. Depends on the knife and what it is used for. A very small amount, very small, like a dot or two.

It depends on the knife, how the action is and what washers the knife uses. If ball bearing, I switch to ceramic and no oil

I try to keep a small amount of oil in the joint. Not too much, not too often, a little goes along way. Tight fitting parts benefit from some lubrication. Cleaning them out is just as important, tiny grains of grit in the wrong place can score surfaces quickly, even hardened steel.
