Email sent on 17.5 inch 30 ounce curve spine Khukuri by Thamar Bahadur.

Got it. I really like the shape of this one: blade, handle, pommel. It has a nice vintage look, but better quality than most of the vintage military issue knives.

Ya know david, I scrolled right past that thinking it was a duplicate picture but that thing is beautiful. Hope you get the done deal, it's really nice.
I'm gonna have to start paying closer attention.

I love the traditional look of that knife. The down swept handle and large bell. Nice!

Love that curve on that gorgeous lopper:) Good snag. I would have been tempted to email for that one.

The Thamar Curve Spine I got back on 8/6 was 19" and 29 ounces, and I really like it a lot! If I hadn't gotten that one, this one would have already been gone.

Gotta get me a shark huntin' licence. That curved spine shudda been enroute Corn Patch! You're a lucky man, David.

Lucky is right. I just turned on my computer, and there it was, unclaimed after 28 minutes. I've seen deals like this one snapped up within one or two minutes.

Maybe people spent their time studying those KLVUKs at the top of the post, and didn't notice the Thamar Bahadur knife. That's my first by him, but probably not the last.

I have to say, that WWII has some great lines to it as well:) All business. I like it.

Actually, your timing was perfect. The Thamar Bahadur Curve Spine was not posted originally. i got the 18" WW2 and by 3:50 PM EST or so the Thamar Bahadur was not listed (or I would have grabbed that first or in addition to the WW2! lol).

Congrats!

Oh my god!!!! This is what I'm talking about... I'm so getting one of these. Thamar is producing top notch kukris, please don't change!!!

Looks like the price has dropped, too?

Good deals! I got one (as in one more) of these last week, from the previous day's sale.

Aww wish I had seen yours. Same length but a full 6oz lighter? That's great. I kind of wish HI would go back to having more models at that nice 5/16" to 3/8" thickness. My fairly old WW2 is this thickness and I love it. The one I picked up for my father as well as others I've seen in the past few years have been 1/2". I've found that 1/2" is almost always too overbuilt and if the primary bevel isn't nice and wide (the main reason I picked #19), a lot of that added weight just turns into blunt force instead of penetrative force.

Man that #19 is some fine wood! Grats Killa! $45 cant be beat:eek:

Yeah hopefully the crack isn't too bad and it benefits from some sanding down and a few coats of BLO. If it's overall to my liking, I'll more than likely make a proper leather sheath for it.
