While digging thru my 10,000 pix file today and I think I've found some pix that have never been posted which may be of interest to some.

Here's pix of Bura making a handle for a Banspati that I took last year at BirGorkha.

Here is a link to the thread. Since it's archived I couldn't get into the post to pull just the pix out, but this will get you there. It's definitely worth a look.
And the Banspati also come in an 18" size as well as the Giant 27" one that a few of us have. One Helluva Khukuri in anyone's collection!!!!

Check it out.:)

The pix will give you an idea of just how talented Bura is by making such a beautiful handle with the simple tools shown that he is working with.:D:D:D:D

Oh yeah, as noted in the archived thread there was one fellow who tested his Banspati and it beat all the others.

I didn't beat the hell outta mine, but I did take it out back and whack it up against some hardwood logs that hadn't been split yet from all directions. Then I chopped some wood with it as well.
The khukuri passed with flying colors of course and this is one I definitely polished back up to what it was before it went behind the bed.:D
The Banspati takes an incredible edge too.
The 27" one is way to big for everyday work, but the little 18" would make someone the fanciest using khukuri made in the world today, with maybe the exception of some Harry has as well as some more secret projects in the works.;)

For the Bura photos. I feel of Bura the way most of the other forumites feel feel of Durba. "He's my Hero!"

If you look at the upper right photo you can see the flat plane brass 1/4 handle that will be formed into the lower part of the handle. Bura eyeballs and freehand cuts these and they fit together perfectly in the real 3d handle. Amazing talent.
