2 of my Ganzaaaaa goodies arrived on Friday, the Ironwood 'MOHO GW' (Morbidly Obese Heavy Ordinance Game Warden, LMAO) and what I'm feeling is gonna be THE sleeper hit amongst the more anticipated heavyweights from the BloodBathaGanzaaaaa; the D/C & micarta BATAC with mosaic pins. I nicknamed it the 'Gray Ghost'.

I love the way the GW looks, but I don't think that I'd ever carry it, it is THAT FAT! For a moment, I couldn't tell which weighed more, the Orca Warden, or the Gray Ghost BATAC, LOL... Still very cool, and should match the ironwood SFNO nicely.
On the OTHER hand, I really, REALLY like this BATAC, and I think that I want to make it a user, it is just that comfortable to handle. It would look sharp (no pun intended!) in a nice gray colored sheath... Maybe something really tough, like elephant hide?

edit-Would look great in ostrich sheath also. Kenny Rowe had a few at blade. I have a pic of one, if you want to see it let me know.

With just eyeballing the two end to end, the Orca Warden's tang (LOL) might be a shade thicker, but not by very much at all. When you factor in the grips, it is definitely noticeably thicker, yes. It's great in the hand, but I don't think I'd like carrying it. Let's call it "too stocky for carry", but probably would still be a great user around the home. Whittling, bar duty, kitchen prep, etc. :thumbup:
 
It's very rough measurements are:

Spine thickness, .27 inches (:D)
Handle thickness at the butt, at least 1 inch thick! :eek:

Nice grain on your 1B. Mine isn't as varied but still very pretty.

It's as fat as the Mrs. Cobalt Warden. And if that Gray Ghost was in satin, I'd be all over one. (Not a DC fan.)

How do you like those mosaic pins? are they as stong as the tube fasteners, or are the tube fasteners there, just hidden underneath the pins ?
