First, here's the review;
The Tiger (Zombie Killer) is BAD ASS.

Okay, now that we have the review out of the way, here's the pix.

Mick, thanks for expediting the rig to me, buddy. Much appreciated. The rig is nearly as awesome as the Zombie Killer itself. :)

Hmmmmm,...and as I place my primary daily carry (Ryan Biohazard M1) beside my Zombie Killer,...it occurs to me that a folding version of the Zombie Killer would be most cool. :D

Downsize the Zombie Killer blade by 20%, stuff it into an AR/GB type body,....and it would sell like crazy. Or don't downsize it at all, and just increase the AR/GB envelope to match. :D

Striderguys, I'd like serial #1 please. :)

Eric,
I like your quick review ( and nice pics) of your new blade, Though I wouldn't mind a little "testing" as well. And, great idea about a new folder, I want one too!

Oh NO, Eric, why did you have to do this to me???

Now after having seen your [excellent] pictures i realized i need one of these bad boys too!
Crap, too much nice knives and waaay to little dough...

The hunt is on :D

Eric,
Thanks for the great pics and review. Good to see you got your sheath. The folder idea sounds good.
Take care,
Reed

Man, the Strider and Emerson forums are the best place to communicate with friends. Thanks for the kind words and e-mails, guys. :)

As a few of you have pointed out, a two word review (BAD ASS) isn't my usual style, so let's get a bit more in depth.

Overall length is 11 3/4"
My digital micrometer says that the blade is 0.2450 thick.
The Zombie itself weighs 15.2 ounces, and with the sheath it tips the scale at 25 ounces even.

Craftsmanship is absolutely up to Strider par; the grinds are diverse and elaborate. The hollow-ground belly is shaving sharp. The hooked portion beneath the belly is also hollow-ground and shaving sharp. The sharpened top false-edge is flatground and acceptably sharp. The top sawteeth are surprisingly sharp, and very heavy duty.

Overall finish is, well, BAD ASS. The tiger stripes are just incredible. I can't imagine this piece without them. The paracord wrap is ulta tight and oh-so-comfy.

Best of all is the way that this piece handles. It balances upon your index finger as if it's floating. It feels much lighter and quicker in the hand than it's weight would suggest. Grip transitions are fast and smooth. And as Mick says, "Weirdness drips from your mind when handling this piece." So very true. Thoughts of mayhem run rampid when wielding the Zombie Killer. It begs to be thrusted or slashed into meat of some sort. So I seek to shoot local coyotes once again, but apparently the word is out; "Don't go to the Blair Ranch. You will be shot in the head, and sliced, diced, chopped, and minced to smithereens with his new Zombie Killer!"
But I'm patient. And the varmints will become stupid once again. My digital camera awaits that moment.

The Zombie Killer oozes personality; a sick, demented, twisted personality, but personality nonetheless. It makes no apologies for what it is, and it requests only to be itself. This is clear to me. Perhaps because I bask in the glory of not being quite right or "PC" either. :D

OH! And the sheath itself is just perfect. Ultra fast presentations, and very secure carry. It looks pretty nice too! But a carbon fiber patterned concealex rig for inside the waistband carry is in the future for my Zombie Killer. Then together we can search for mayhem outside of the ranch. There are evil people out there with box cutters who I hope to run into some day. And they will learn all about the qualities of my happy little Zombie Killer.

Thick, tough, wicked, steely, tiger-striped insanity. With only a 6 month wait (well worth the wait too!). Such a deal! :)

Derek,

By downsize, do you mean less than a 3" blade with no lock?

Regards,

Ed

PS British Joke!!

Hey Eric!
Cool photo, Ryan's knife looks cool as hell!
And about that review ... it appears you have some time on your hands and we just knocked over a big bin of screws, what do ya say you come over and sort em all out!
All the best,
Duane Dwyer

Hiya Duane!
Let me get this straight; in the past week you guys have spilled your own blood, and also spilled a massive bin of screws?? Hmmm,...I bet you guys haven't spilled a single drop of beer though, huh?

I'll be right over to sort out those screws; this will be a good opportunity to see how far along you guys are on the AR and GB that I've got ordered through BladeArt. :p
