top -- typical Nepali village. This one was Gurung as I recall but I could be wrong. Notice interesting architecture and, sorry, but no English spoken here.

center -- Maleku village where we stopped for lunch. More on that later. See the building to the far left? Look at the signs up near the top of the building. Those are ads for Gorkha cigarettes.

bottom -- tiny rest stop along the way. A single passenger smokes a cigarette while he awaits the arrival of his bus.
