My villager collection. These are all regular field carry and favorite users:

  • 16.5" WWII by Kumar
  • 17", 18 oz, Sirupati by Kumar
  • 12" Sirupati by Amtrak

Those look great. I still haven't blued any of my khukuris, but I'll definitely have to try it one of these days.

[font=&quot]The bluing has held up to the kind of light chopping I use these khuks for (e.g. sun-tempered Arizona scrub oak masquerading as ironwood, usually 2" or less). I used G96 Instant Gun Blue, warmed the blades and applied 2-3 coats. Then applied Ballistol and let the blade sit for 24 hrs. It's easy to reapply when it does wear off. I'll post my HD choppers tomorrow. Got the idea from Yvsa.

Very nice, Jim. I've blued a couple of mine, too, but they aren't as dark as yours. Used B-C PermaBlue.
 
I think this might help some of the specops folks but bolster and buttcap would need same treatment. No glow in the dark khukuri.

Agreed. I went nuts with black grip tape on my 18"-ish chitlangi that I carried to the field.

Yours does have nice contrast, though...
