pizza oven forge?

Make bread in that oven amd make a regular forge for knives.
Pizza and bread bake at temps between 350F and 500F....knives forge at 16000F to 2300F and HT at 1400F-1500F.

It won't work for anything but a box to build a HT oven in. That isn't practical or cost effective.

350-500F is the tempering range for many simple steels. So if the oven keeps a consistent temperature, you can use it for tempering... but not forging or hardening.

Pizza makers you're not ! The proper temperature to bake pizza is 850 F !! They tried [unsuccessfully] to pass a law to that effect in Italy recently.

A pizza baker I might not be anymore, but I baked a lot as a chef and director of dining services at Wesleyan College back in the early 1970's. My daughter worked in an old style Italian Pizzeria for a few years, too. My dad grew up in an Italian/German immigrant small NJ town, where bread was baked every morning in a stone bread oven. The men got up at 4AM to get the fire going and the coals ready. It took over an hour for the stones to fully heatup ( soak time). The women came at 6AM and baked bread. On Saturday afternoon, the oven was fired up again, and they baked pizza and calzone. Dad said they weren't anything like the pizzas we get at Pizza Hut today.

While commercial wood fired and coal fired pizza ovens are run at 800F, many restaurant/home electric/gas smaller pizza ovens are run around 500F. Most pizza recipes for home baking recommend using a stone and baking between 350F and 450F.
