PJ Tomes Camp Knives (production) to benefit PMC

Walnut handles with 6.25" blade of 1095, 10.75" OAL. (TWELVE! AVAILABLE)
I have matching leather sheaths for the first six donations!

I have these great camp knives for sale to benefit the Jimmy Fund/Dana Faber
Cancer Institute. I'm raising money for The Jimmy Fund through the Pan-Mass
Challenge (more here: http://www.pmc.org). The PMC is the oldest cycling
fundraiser in the country and raises more money than any other athletic
fundraising event in the U.S. It is also the most cost efficient, with 99
cents of each dollar raised going directly to the Jimmy Fund. The PMC has
contributed more than $171 million to lifesaving cancer research and
treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute since 1980.

Last year the wonderful folks from the knife community stepped up to help by
donating and buying knives and gadgets to support the cause. I was able to
raise over $6,000 and my team was able to raise over $100,000 to support
cancer research.

I will be riding with Team Serotta this year.

I was assigned a pedal partner last year and was partnered with an
unbelievably brave, tough and fun kid with a great family -- Jake Boudreau.
Jake's fighting neuroblastoma. Recently it was found that the tumor is
coming back and Jake has some more challenges ahead of him. He's in the best
of care at Children's working with the research fellow who was sponsored
directly by the Friends for Life Neuroblastoma fund.

Jake:

Payment: You make the donation to the the Jimmy Fund (they take plastic) and
I'll ship you the item. I can also take checks made out to the Jimmy Fund.
More knives and gadgets to come later. If you're broke (I am) and would like
to participate in raising money for PMC please PM me...there are lots of
other ways to help!

Thanks for the interest. PM if you have questions. Steve

These knives were very generously donated to support cancer
research by PJ Tomes

$75 tax-deductible donation to PMC

Note: as can be seen in the scan, some of the blades have started to take on a patina.

I have ELEVEN more of these to benefit PMC. I really don't want to go to eBay and pay listing and selling fees on top of shipping (which I cover). How about $65 tax-deductible donation to PMC? ;)

I will take one - heck how can you go wrong?? Tax deductable, great knife and most importantly a good cause!

So I contact them, make a plastic donation of $65 (total?) and then I or they contact you about this? Let me know the details and I will be happy to donate.

PM or dllarson5@mmm.com

Thanks

PJ is one of my favorite makers (I realized it is a production knife but he is involved somehow because he put his name is on it:D ). I have also had some experience with cancer. So getting one of these knives was a win-win for me. A new Tomes knife and helping out with the cancer fight.
Turner III was right when he said, "heck, how can you go wrong?"

Thanks for all your effort in this matter

Knife arrived today. Just as described. It's going right in with my camp equipment. Thanks!

Not much happening. PJ donated these to raise money for cancer research not sit with me. Make me an offer of a reasonable donation to PMC and we'll work it out. :)

Steve,

Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to raise money for cancer research. As a cancer survivor, I know how important volunteer fundraising efforts are. If it weren't for people like you, I would not be alive today.

 Dana Farber is one of the best cancer research centers in the world and the Jimmy Fund and Pan-Mass Challenge are great organizations.

I just completed my third Half Marathon to raise money for Team in Training / The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and have begun training for another one this summer.

I don’t need another knife, but I’d like to help. Please email me your team web address so I can make a donation by credit card.
