PJ Tomes Camp Knives (production) to benefit PMC
Walnut handles with 6.25" blade of 1095, 10.75" OAL. (TWELVE! AVAILABLE)
I have matching leather sheaths for the first six donations!
I have these great camp knives for sale to benefit the Jimmy Fund/Dana Faber
Cancer Institute. I'm raising money for The Jimmy Fund through the Pan-Mass
Challenge (more here: http://www.pmc.org). The PMC is the oldest cycling
fundraiser in the country and raises more money than any other athletic
fundraising event in the U.S. It is also the most cost efficient, with 99
cents of each dollar raised going directly to the Jimmy Fund. The PMC has
contributed more than $171 million to lifesaving cancer research and
treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute since 1980.
Last year the wonderful folks from the knife community stepped up to help by
donating and buying knives and gadgets to support the cause. I was able to
raise over $6,000 and my team was able to raise over $100,000 to support
cancer research.
I will be riding with Team Serotta this year.
I was assigned a pedal partner last year and was partnered with an
unbelievably brave, tough and fun kid with a great family -- Jake Boudreau.
Jake's fighting neuroblastoma. Recently it was found that the tumor is
coming back and Jake has some more challenges ahead of him. He's in the best
of care at Children's working with the research fellow who was sponsored
directly by the Friends for Life Neuroblastoma fund.
Jake:

Payment: You make the donation to the the Jimmy Fund (they take plastic) and
I'll ship you the item. I can also take checks made out to the Jimmy Fund.
More knives and gadgets to come later. If you're broke (I am) and would like
to participate in raising money for PMC please PM me...there are lots of
other ways to help!
Thanks for the interest. PM if you have questions. Steve

Note: as can be seen in the scan, some of the blades have started to take on a patina.
