Here's another great knife by PJ. This is my 5th Tomes and one of 2 I currently have. PJs Muskrat with 52100 blades and really nice stag scales. 3 inch blades, 4 inchs closed. 416 integral bolsters, single back spring. The single spring and thin stag make this a really compact package which I like. I've taken a few pics of how PJ designs the blades and contact point with the spring on this single spring design.

There's a slight space between the spring and liner which I wish was tighter but other than this I am very happy with this knife. Enjoy the pics.

Very nice.
Great photos as well.
Can't beat a stag Tomes with a stick :D

Great pictures. I didn't realize how thin PJ's Muskrat was. I would think it would be a great carry piece.

Is this knife going to be a user? If so , will you put a patina on it? I have a 52100 single blade trapper from PJ that should be arriving in a week. I plan on using it and will probably cut some apples and lime with it to start.

Thanks for all the comments! I do intended on carrying this and I will let a natural patina develop on the blades through use. I always wipe down and use mineral oil on these blades after use. I enjoy caring for the knife as much as I do using it.

Very nice. I have had a Tomes single bladed Trapper on my must get list....but that Muskrat is calling:D

How would you guys rate the fit and finish of a Tomes folder on a scale of 1 to 10. I have never owned one, but I will be receiving one in about 2 weeks. How does it compare with other custom makers' slipjoints. Thanks for your opinion.
