PJ Tomes

Very nice piece .That engraving is out of this world - do you know whose work it is (if not Mr Tomes that is!)

Thanks for the link to his web site. His work is fantastic, I especially love his canes and his Scagles.

Sorry, Stephen. I couldn't say for sure who did the engraving. All I really know about the knife is what it says on the web site.

PJ is a maker of many skills, but I don't think engraving is one of those skills.

PJ is one of those makers that seems to just about do it all. He's and ABS Mastersmith, he forges and also does stock removal. He has won Blade Show's award Most Innovative Folder as well as outstanding fixed blades. His kitchen knives outperform anything I have used and sell for $100 or less.

He's talented and prolific, he's a good friend of mine and he's also the Master of Stag. ;)

BTW, PJ is having some computer problems (he's getting a new one) so if you need to reach him, call him on the phone.

Based on what I can make out of the signature on the engraving, and the design, I am going to stick my neck out a say it looks like the work of Jon Robyn - if anyone one can confirm this I would appreciate it, contact info would be even better!

Cheers,

Stephen

PhilL - Thanks for your "BTW". I have sent him a couple of e-mails recently about a pending order and got no reply. Now I know why.

Even though PJ has a website I have to tell you that puters are not his thing. My guess is the phone will always be the #1 way to get in contact with him. ;)
