Does anyone have pics of Tomes' folders that they'd be comfortable posting?

I'm particularly interested in pics of his single-blade lockbacks, large-size.

And yes, I've visited his site, already.

Thanks

I'll look through my 'archives'. FWIW, _anything_ you're thinking of ordering from PJ is a BARGAIN.

Here is mine, Valiant1. Front lock, stag, 52100, about 8 inches overall, blade about 3 1/2.

Is the 52100 tough to maintain?

It'll tarnish, rust, pit if not taken care of, just like any other non stainless steel. It's good stuff though.

Dambo's right no harder than any other non stainless. My tomes slipjoint is 52100. I'm impressed with the edge retention & gets Very sharp:thumbup:
I'ld recommend it if your after non stainless.
Cheers
Mitch

PJ's waiting list isn't too bad because he makes a lot of knives. I think his knives are an incredible value. He grinds the blade down to the edge with no secondary bevel making a very sharp, easy to sharpen edge.

I have one of his small front locks in stag. It's a Great knife:thumbup:
Mine is stainless though and I would rather have good carbon steel instead.

Any excuse to post a photo :D
(even if it is a slip joint)
I went with 12C27 for pocket carry, since it will be carried and used

I could not agree more. Especially if the slip joint happens to be one by Master Tomes.
