Well, the show is over and was quite well attended and makers sold some knives and lots of awards were presented. All awards are called Judges Choice Awards so here is a listing of those winners. Buddy Thomason likely will have individual images of all those winning knives at some point as he was the official photographer. As the show was not too large, the photographs were mostly done on day one with a few on the last day when gaps of images etc were determined during the editing process.
Fantasy knife -- Todd Kopp
Folding Knife -- Hans Weinmueller
Bowie/Camp Knife -- Jerry McClure
Hunting/Utility -- John Bartlow
Miniature -- Hans Weinmueller
Fish Fillet Knife -- Mike Mooney
Kitchen Cutlery Set -- Mike Mooney
Hand Forged Primitive -- David Ruana
Fighting/Tactical -- David Ruana
Collaborated Knife -- Bud & David Ruana
Damascus -- Arthur Lynn
Donated -- Mike Irie
Knifemaker Display -- John Bartlow
New Knifemaker -- Terry Schreiner
The Rest -- Craig Steketee
Best of Show -- Jerry McClure
Bird/Trout -- Mitch Jenkins
Unfortunately, no individual presentations were made so no images of maker, plaque and knife were done but Buddy did do a group image which he likely will post.
PKA does do a collaboration and Mike Mooney was the winner of the draw seen here with Denise Allen.

Rudy Ruana and his family has long been associated with the custom cutlery business and Rudy is regarded as a pioneer in the field of handmade knives. Due to patent issues, the three grandsons at the show are not able to use the Ruana name but have each developed a name and style of his own.
David Ruana after many years of being absent from cutlery has begun to make knives again and produced a gun/knife which sold to a collector at the show.
David chats with show directorMike "Whiskers" Allen about the project which was begun by Rudy many years ago and now finished by David.

David later explains to prospective buyers some of the intricacies of the piece

Wow, even though opening this page nearly killed my computer thanks for posting these pics. I am in Denver, I had yesterday off, and even though I cannot yet afford any of those knives I could've afforded the $7 admission to look at them . . . only I was so busy I didn't even know this event was going on. Maybe next year.
