Hi. Want to adjust the pivot but can't figure out what size bit I need. Thanks.

I only have metric torx (not sure if its a funny imperial size) but a T9 fits perfectly, you may get away with using a T8 but beware of stripping the screw.

The pivot size is a T8. Almost no one uses odd number torx sizes - sometimes you have to use a larger size as the screw or bit wears. Or most of the time people use junk bits from local hardware stores that aren't very precise.

I personally recommend Wiha bits.

Don't have a P'kal, so I can't say for certain that you're wrong about it being T-8, but Spyderco most definitely uses T-9 screws on some of their knives, including many of those with wire clips, so I wouldn't be surprised if you' are. The clip screw on my Manix 2 Lightweight takes a T-9 Wiha bit, as well as a T-9 Home Depot Husky bit and a T-9 Lowe's Kobalt bit.

Mine have virgin screws, and I have wiha torx driver... It will feel tight as I said, but if you push the driver into the screw it will seat properly, you can feel it click in.

I tried a T8 but it does not seat in the screw correctly, there is play from side to side. Once again, you may get away with it but its the wrong size and you run the risk of stripping the screw head.

I tried both my p'kal's and my trainer, unless someone official wants to chime in and prove me wrong, the correct size is T9.
