P'kal wave opening stud removable?

Hi there.
Just wanted to know of the "stud" that acts as the wave opener on the p'kal live and trainer knives is unscrewable/removable? So I can take it off but screw it back on at a later date if I want.

Yes, it backs out easily.

I had to use padded-jaw pliers, but yes, it does unscrew. Don't lose it when you remove it...
