place for non-dealers to sell?

Seeing how the buy and sell forum here is only for supporting members, anybody know of a place where a person can sell a knife without paying?

Just so I understand this, you don't feel like supporting this site, but you want to find out where you can sell stuff from this site?

Well, you can put a for sale sign on your front door... the market might be a little limited, but you might sell it. Or maybe posting flyers at work. :rolleyes:
 
What Spark said--Hell you're at the best place there is to sell and trade--fork up the few bucks to get your membership :confused: :confused: :confused:
 
Flea market..........Never mind,they'll probably make ya' pay for your table. :rolleyes:

You could try...

A flea market or neighborhood sale, but you won't get full value, or have many customers.

A pawn shop, but they won't give you even close to full value.

Ebay, and pay them auction fees.

A newspaper ad, and pay for the listing.



Or you could just pay for a Gold membership here, and support the forum in the process. In any case, you're going to have to spend money to make money. Might as well do it here, right?
 
Ok, here's the reason I don't want to pay fees. The only reason I'm selling a knife is because I suddenly found myself in the red. So, I've gone about selling everything that I won't want to immediately buy back. I still owe $18, and the only thing I have left to sell is a knife, and it's not worth much (I'm hoping to get $15 for it shipped), it doesn't make sense for me to pay to support the site right now, and I was hoping somebody knew of another forum with an open buy and sell forum.
As far as posting flyers at work, my job got outsourced last week.
 
There are plenty of places to sell your knives for free, take a few minutes to look around the net and you can find them. Just don't disrespect the forum by asking something like this here.

what TorzJohnson said. Your question is inappropriate here, altho it is a fair question elsewhere, or, off the forums.

good luck with your situation though...sorry to hear about it.
 
Speedfan, if you are smart enough to ask for help and willing to explain your actions, I'm willing to bet you are smart enough to put your nose to the grindstone and get another job by monday or tuesday. Forget the knife and open up the classifieds or go to monster.com. It may not be your dream job, but it will work out.

Exactly my thoughts, too. If you don't want to help support BladeForums, please take your sales pitch somewhere else. A Gold Membership here at BladeForums will allow you to sell your knife, along with just about anything else you might want to sell, and you'll be selling to a very large group of good folks.
