I'm planning to attend the BladeShow in Atlanta on June. Renaissance Waverly Hotel is quite expensive. Can somebody recommend a nice place to stay that is not so expensive and quite near the venue? :thumbup:
 
I usually stay at the Sheraton Suites Galleria which is just across the freeway and connected by a pedestrian bridge. Here is a link to many of the places to say that are close. I suggest you go to mapquest and look at the distances if you plan on walking to the Blade show.

Ang, I'm shareing a room with 2 other makers at the Sherdian. Its a step down in price but not much. I wish I could be of more help.

If you are in the military or a military retiree, Dobbins ARB is just up the road as well and might have space A in billeting.
 
The Hampton Inn has been a great place to stay. I think it is right off the Cumberland Parkway. We've been staying there for eight shows now.
 
For years we used to stay at a Red Roof Inn about 2 miles away on Windy Hill RD, I thinks it's $42 per night and easy to get to and from the show. But now my wife likes the Sheraton across the street. I would rather stay at the Waverly but it's just too high.

I do believe that's the one. I'm pretty sure Corporate Plaza Pkwy runs between Windy Hill RD and Cumberland Parkway. It's clean and cheap if you don't mind a short drive.
 
My first Blade Show (2002), my wife and I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott (#10 on your list). Price was around $69/night, IIRC. The place was definitely nice/clean, as has been every Courtyard hotel I've ever stayed at, and only a couple, three blocks walk to the show (it's just on the other side of the shopping mall from the Waverly).
