Hallo all. Just checked out the Emerson website and noticed that at the top of the production knife page, it states that all knife blades are available with serrations or plain. But other than the Benchmade CQC7s, I haven't seen any that are plain edge. Do the online stores just not think that plain edge will sell, or does Emerson Knives Inc. just not make them?

EKI says they do, and they do. Just gotta find a good outlet. Hell, look on ebay and you'll probably find plain edged commanders, if nothing else from Emerson.

Also check out the knife exchange forum, I picked one up there at a really reasonable price,

What Laserman 1 said. I traded for one, I thought the same thing as you. They are out there, I found mine on the for sale forum. As an added bonus, It's serial numbered

I had one for a bit, sold it to a friend. It was pretty cool, and really easy to sharpen! Just put it on my Edge Pro, sharpened it with the coarse stone and then removed the burr with a strop! I feel like getting another one...

Well, we do make plain edge in all of our knives but...the vast majority of knifves sold in the market are combo-edge. As a small company, we must concentrate our efforts in the most effective areas so, we mainly produce combo-edge knives.

As an example, in a run of 500 7's, we might make 20-30 plain edge. Rather than sending these knives our around the country, we generally retain them at the shop so our customers can more easily locate them should they so desire. This situation could/will change as we grow and customer demand dictates.

I happen to carry a plain edge 7 so I know they are out there
