i apologize for coming up with supposedly the impossible...

and with all due respect to Simona and BRAM....

Bram, if you like her, I'm willing to trade for a combo-edge version and some training? ;)

Better pic

Anything else I need to provide to convince ya?

Perhaps a photo of some non-publically known change?

biogon .. :D :D ..you have e-v-e-r-y-d-a-y something ...
first, your bloody experience, you cut yourself, and now you want trade your new Gunting ... :D

Simona,

No no, see... I do not want to trade, but Bram, he does not believe it, yes?

So I wish to add it to his collection. I assume he would wish to have one of every kind that was made, and since this one is obviously not in his possession, I figure, why not return it to the father? ;) I would be honored for him to have it.

But I still want My Gunting so I offer it to him for a regular model and on top of that a little something so I know how to hold her in the right way. :)

oh soo, remember, these new models are part.serrated only
OH SOO ... ee... where you got it ???
?

I ordered it from a friend. Supposedly there are no more...

I did not know this is so much in demand. Personally I don't care between PE and CE so much for a SD knife. I like plain edge for a user knife because serrations are so hard to sharpen properly.

Bram gets first pick then if a Guntaholic here likes I will be happy to trade or sell to someone who will appreciate her more.

Trust me!! Bram already has the plain edge,he has at least "one" of every G made & some that will NEVER see publicity!!Bram drives me NUTS!!

hey, is this post tongue-in-cheek or what? I didn't know there were PE S30V Guntings? how do I get hold of one???

Ok.

This is the skinny, from a little research, as far as I can understand it. No guarantee it's correct.

1- This is not a joke. I really do have a fully plain edge S30V "3rd gen"* Gunting in my hot little hands. I LOVE S30V compared to the gummy, tough nightmare that is 440V.

2- There were less than 100 total plain edge S30V Guntings made to fill backorders and some extras.

3- It is very unlikely more will be made in the future unless there is a significant amount of interest.

4- My dealer friend has a line on the remaining 5 in the distributor network, but he's new to the dealer situation and he only takes money orders, not paypal or credit cards. (This is not a scam...although it sounds like it...!) The distributor doesn't seem to be able to get any more in PE, so that seems to confirm #3.

This is as I understand it...

I can send interested parties his email address. His prices are rather competitive, to boot.

* I think these would count as 3rd gen -- as far as I could find out, there was the 1st gen in 440V, then a 2nd gen with revised lock parameters in 440V, and then this one, a 3rd gen, in S30V with revised clip position and lock parameters. I couldn't find a history online...

Ok I'm impressed...
very...and a bit piqued...
and no I don't have every version out..not when they were alledgedly NEVER made...
Ok..OK..
let me get this straight..
you want to trade..no problem and some training in exchange for the tool...
OK I'll bite..
You come to me..
I'll give you some private instruction and I'll trade out for your Gunting...
I get $3k per day to teach...
so I do this as a lark and because you've been very polite and upfront...

MM will want one for sure...

be safe
Bram

Email me to arrange something...

Bram,

I sent you email.

I didn't mean training in person -- I'm not at the level yet where I would be able to absorb as much as I should, and I wouldn't attend a seminar without paying.

I had just meant tips and maybe if you'd had any extra copies of the first vol of your DVD training set lying around... I have some rudimentary training, but this tool definitely needs Gunting-specific training and knowledge to use properly.

But anyhow, as I stated above, my dealer seems to have another 5 at the distributor -- I sent you his email address if you'd like to buy up the rest.

Thanks again,

-Jon
